Trilateral Food Security
Our three nations have much in common in terms of Food Security, food logistics and trade alignment.
Sustainability and climate abatement is at the forefront of each nations approaches to agribusiness and food security and we have much to share and collaborate upon in terms of our knowledge and practice.
A resilient food system is a platform on which successful nations build domestic security, social progress and durable prosperity. Trade-based Food Security is also intrinsically linked to a country’s economic stability.
Consistent growth in foreign currency revenue is also required to support trade-based Food Security and reduce the risks associated with a globalized food system.
Whilst land availability/suitability determines some limits on traditional food systems there is a significant opportunity to develop Saudi Arabia into a regional food security hub through adaptive measures and technologies empowering its own national Food Security and economic footprint and Australia and New Zealand look forward to collaborating in that regard.
Action towards Food Security strengthens the ‘social contract’ with the peoples of each nation and celebrates our relevant indigenous cultures .It is shown to increases citizens trust in government and enhances a nations global standing and profile.
Our nation’s commercial and regulatory environments are a common platform under which our partnerships can develop apace.
